Sarah Huckabee Sanders is notoriously known for her compulsive lying. Any chance she gets to deflect from the narrative to defend Donald Trump, regardless of the situation, she will take.
After reports emerged of Deputy FBI Director Andrew McCabe would be stepping down from his position earlier than expected, Sanders held a press briefing explaining that the White House wasn’t involved in McCabe’s ouster, but that the president stands behind his criticisms of the now-ex deputy director.
“The president stands by his previous comments,” Sanders said. “But in terms of the situation today, as I’ve said, we’ve seen the reports, just as all of you have.”
The White House has made more than 20 witnesses available for interviews with the special counsel and has provided tens of thousands of documents to investigators. In addition, Sanders attempted to deflect the situation by saying Trump has encouraged the FBI to conclude its investigation as quickly and thoroughly as possible so that reporters can get “Russian fever out of their system once and for all.”

Sanders expects us to believe that a man who has been calling for the removal of McCabe, has lied about methodology used to fire McCabe’s boss, and has been trying multiple angles to get him fired, says he didn’t have anything to do with the forced resignation. Yeah, we’re not buying what you’re selling, Sarah. Nevertheless, Sanders continues her time honored tradition of lying to the American people so her boss will seem somewhat (not at all) admirable.
