After President Donald Trump’s recent visit to Atlanta, where he got booed at the NCAA college championship football game, a recent poll reveals Trump’s approval rating in Georgia and let me tell you..they’re bad.
During the 2106 election, Trump won the popular vote in Georgia by a margin of five points. Now, poll numbers from the Atlanta Journal-Constitution shows his approval rating upside down, with only 37 percent of Georgians approving of his job performance and a whopping 59 percent expressing disapproval.
In fact, Trump is far-less popular in Georgia than the whole entire nation, which means Tump’s approval is at only 39 percent, with a staggering 56 percent disapproval.
Many Georgia natives spoke up against the so-called president, saying they’re fed up with Trump’s erratic and classless demeanor.
“I think he’s a disgrace to the presidency. I’m so disgraced, ashamed and embarrassed,” Vicky Green, a 54-year-old small business owner, told the AJC. “With all the money he’s got, he’s never spent it on class. He doesn’t know when to keep his mouth shut.”
“I don’t think he has the stature of a president,” said Stuart Siegel, a 74-year-old retiree who nonetheless approved of the Republican tax bill that recently passed.
Georgians are amongst many other deep red states who are gradually shifting their party vote to blue. And Republicans have to suffer the consequences because like many other things, politics is a numbers game and it appears as though they are losing their momentum as each day passes.
