Donald Trump and his failing administration have once again proven to be the most clueless, incompetent, and unprofessional White House the country has ever seen.
Trump’s unprofessional behavior has clearly worn off on the rest of his staff, as we’ve recently seen in disastrous, chaotic interviews and press briefings. Today’s horrific event was kicked off by White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders, who lashed out at a reporter during today’s press briefing.
When CNN’s Jim Acosta brought up the fact that the president was using his “Executive Time” – a huge block of time set aside for Trump to use for whatever he desires – to binge-watch Fox & Friends, Huckabee Sanders defended the president in one of the most unprofessional ways we’ve seen from the press secretary yet.
In reaction to Acosta pointing out that Trump had contradicted the position of his own White House on FISA warrants because Fox & Friends had criticized the law, Huckabee Sanders ignored the facts and instead lashed out at the CNN reporter. She attacked Acosta:
“I’m sure you are disappointed he’s not watching CNN.”
Acosta corrected Huckabee Sanders and reminded her that Trump was actually obsessed with CNN by saying, “I think he watches a lot of CNN if you don’t mind me saying it.”
Huckabee Sanders lost all credibility and respect for her job as she shot back:
“I don’t think that’s true. Your numbers would be higher.”
Everyone in the room was shocked by this attack on Acosta, which led to several reporters responding in gasps and “ooohs.” Huckabee Sanders then tried to continue with her press briefing, insisting that Trump had a “great deal of understanding” around FISA (he doesn’t understand it at all).
You can watch this insane press briefing below, where Huckabee Sanders proves that she’s been spending way too much time with Trump:
