Donald Trump’s own White House is caving in on itself as his horrendous style of ‘leadership’ continues to cause his staff to become smaller and smaller.
Apparently, the White House has told its staff that by the end of January, they need to make up their minds and decide if they’re leaving the administration or staying on to help Trump in the November mid-terms. And thanks to Trump himself, you can probably guess what most staffers are choosing.
The Trump administration made this announcement so that White House chief of staff John Kelly would have an estimate of how many staffers were bailing, and this is probably going to backfire tremendously. According to CBS News, the Trump administration is currently facing an exodus of staff thanks to the chaos and lack of morale that runs rampant in Trump’s White House. Add the potential of higher paychecks of the private sector to the picture, and you have an administration full of people that are practically begging to leave.
CNN reported that sources close to the West Wing have stated that there are already an insane amount of vacancies in the administration thanks to Trump’s Russia probe and the fact that Trump’s presidency is historically unpopular. The Wall Street Journal has reported that Trump’s White House saw a higher first year turnover of staff than any other administration that came before it.
This exodus of staff is due to a complete breakdown of morale, as well as disgust for how Trump runs the White House. Many of Trump’s staffers, such as former Goldman Sachs executive Gary Cohn, (who is in charge of Trump’s National Economic Council), are disappointed in Trump. Cohn even once described Trump as “an idiot surrounded by clowns.” In Michael Wolff’s anti-Trump tell-all book, “Fire and Fury: Inside The Trump White House”, Cohn said:
“The reason so few jobs have been filled is that they only accept people who pass ridiculous purity tests, even for midlevel policy-making jobs where the people will never see the light of day. I am in a constant state of shock and horror.”
Trump’s White House is about to abandon him – and it’s all his fault.
