    News, Politics

Donald Trump’s Twitter outbursts have gotten so insane that even his own team has given up trying to spin his words around and save him from the messes he’s created. Combine the Trump administration’s exhaustion with its own incompetency and you have a major PR nightmare – and even Trump’s White House Press Secretary is going off the rails and having a meltdown.

Earlier today, Sarah Huckabee Sanders tried to take on Trump’s recent nuclear war threat to North Korea leader Kim Jong-un in her daily press briefing – and somehow managed to make it even worse. Last night, Trump had tweeted:

“North Korean Leader Kim Jong Un just stated that the ‘Nuclear Button is on his desk at all times.’ Will someone from his depleted and food starved regime please inform him that I too have a Nuclear Button, but it is a much bigger & more powerful one than his, and my Button works!”

When Huckabee Sanders was asked about Trump’s insanely irresponsible tweet in her briefing, the press secretary didn’t even try to make Trump’s tweet sound less insane. Instead, she basically signed off on the tweet and proved that Trump’s administration staff is just as crazy as he is. Huckabee Sanders responded to Trump’s insistence that he had a bigger “Nuclear Button” than Kim Jong-un by saying:

“I think it is just a fact.”

As reporters pointed out that the president doesn’t actually possess a “nuclear button” on his desk, Huckabee Sanders also stated that Trump was aware of the real process behind launching a nuclear strike (even though that was probably a lie).

You can watch Huckabee Sanders shock the press with her comments about Trump’s tweet below:

Clearly, Trump’s irrationality has been rubbing off on his administration officials, and they’re no longer trying to tone down the president’s ignorance.
