NBC’s Matt Lauer has been fired, and of course Donald Trump felt the need to weigh in on it. In a morning tweet, President Trump first stated the obvious, saying that Lauer was “just fired from NBC for ‘inappropriate sexual behavior in the workplace.” Then he once again went on a tirade against another news organization that he does not agree with, asking when will the “top executives” of NBC and Comcast are going to be fired for “putting out so much fake news.”
Wow, Matt Lauer was just fired from NBC for “inappropriate sexual behavior in the workplace.” But when will the top executives at NBC & Comcast be fired for putting out so much Fake News. Check out Andy Lack’s past!

Why Was Matt Lauer Fired?
Lauer was one of NBC’s leading morning news anchors, who has been fired over allegations of sexual harassment. The president of NBC detailed the decision with a memo to staff, stating that on Monday, NBC received a complaint from a colleague about workplace sexual harassment coming from Lauer. Andrew Lack, president of the NBC, further explained, saying that “after serious review, [it was] a clear violation of our company’s standards. As a result, we’ve decided to terminate his employment.”
It was also noted that this was the first complaint against Lauer over his 20-year tenure with NBC. But the information presented to NBC may hint that this could have been an ongoing issue with the long-time host.
Matt Lauer’s Coworkers Respond
A visibly upset Savannah Guthrie, Lauer’s co-host on the NBC’s “Today”, commented on the firing on the segment. Guthrie said, “all we can say is we are heartbroken; I’m heartbroken.” She went further and described Lauer as a “dear friend”, and that she felt for the colleague who has come forward with her assertions. The staff for “Today” learned about the allegations just shortly before they went live, with Al Roker saying “I’m still trying to process the news.” Hoda Kotb momentarily replaced Lauer as a substitute.
“How do you reconcile your love for someone with the revelation that they have behaved badly?” said Guthrie.
