As President Donald Trump arrives in the Philippines, his secret security team definitely had to monitor him closely after witnessing an unexpected and unpleasant welcoming from the people.
Unfortunately for Trump, protestors marched in the street towards the U.S. Embassy, while the police were called in to block the march as they shouted chants against the so-called president. They yelled remarks such as: “Trump not welcome,” while holding signs that read “Ban Trump” and “Dump Trump.”
The people of the Philippines seem to despise him so much, that they took it a step further and started throwing black paints on a poster of Trump’s face reading “fascist” underneath.
Others charged forward, locking arms while the police sprayed them with what appears to be a water hose.
One protester even told reporters:
“Trump is no friend of the Filipino people. He brings war. He brings economic impositions. He wants to bring the U.S. war on terror in the Philippines. He wants to drag us in the politics in North Korea. He wants to bring back U.S. bases in the Philippines. He does things that are not beneficial to the Filipino people.”
Not only is the U.S. not too fond of him, but people from overseas are just as opposed. Right now, Trump is the biggest threat to regional peace with his provocations against North Korea and many other countries are stepping up and resisting.
Luckily for them, Trump’s stay in the Philippines won’t be for very long. We, as Americans, have to deal with him for much longer.
