Roy Moore is about as disgusting as disgusting can be. Despite the many accusations against him, he refuses to show any sign of owning what he has been accused of, or even being willing to bow out of the Alabama Senate race given the mounting allegations against him.
Even more disappointing, but to be expected is that America’s liar in chief, Donald Trump, has drawn his line in the sand and made it abundantly clear where he stands regarding Moore. Trump supports Moore and doesn’t believe a word his accusers have said.
Moore accuser, Beverly Nelson has courageously recalled what she faced when she attempted to stand up to Moore. She says:
“He told me, he said, ‘You’re just a child,’ and he said, ‘I am the district attorney of Etowah County and if you tell anyone about this no one will ever believe you.'”
It looks like there are some people who may have believed Nelson, after all. The New Yorker’s, Charles Bethea, has been digging into Moore’s past and learned that people were actually extremely concerned about Moore’s behavior and interactions with young girls. Even more alarming, Moore was reportedly banned from a mall because of his concerning behavior.
As part of his research, Bethea learned about Alabama journalist, Glynn Wilson. According to Wilson:
“Sources tell me Moore was actually banned from the Gadsden Mall and the YMCA for his inappropriate behavior of soliciting sex from young girls.”
Wilson’s words are just insult to injury; Teresa Jones, a former deputy district attorney for Etowah County has already gone on the record as saying that it was common knowledge that Moore dated high school girls. Jones couldn’t remember the mall ban but did acknowledge that it’s a story that she’d heard for years.
Greg Legat worked at Gadsden mall and recalls having seen Moore there quite often during the time Moore was allegedly banned. According to Legat:
“It started around 1979, I think. I know the ban was still in place when I got there.”
Legat remembers a local police officer who worked security at the mall:
“J. D. was a fixture there, when I was working at the store. He really looked after the kids there. He was a good guy. J. D. told me, ‘If you see Roy, let me know. He’s banned from the mall. If you see Moore here, tell me. I’ll take care of him.”‘
These reports of Moore’s known perversion clearly aren’t isolated. Jason Nelms grew up going to the mall and states:
“It was a joke from one of the managers/assistant managers that they couldn’t keep an eye on their theater and an eye on the kids outside. Us kids would congregate outside on the sidewalk near the theater after the mall closed on Friday and Saturday nights. Anyway, when asked why they had to keep an eye outside, they said that some older guy had been trying to pick up younger girls. They didn’t go beyond that but one of the concession workers whispered to us later that it was Roy Moore he was talking about.”
This is what happens when America allows someone who brags about sexually assaulting women, to end up in the White House.
