Donald Trump is infamous for blowing up his own spot. He tells so many lies that he can’t even keep half of them straight, and routinely exposes himself and sabotages his own attempts to appear innocent. One great example of that is what happened earlier today during one of his Twitter meltdowns.

In a tantrum of tweets that included attacks against NFL players, Obamacare, and more, Trump accidentally blew up his own cover story and admitted that his firing of former FBI Director James Comey was in fact politically motivated. And on top of that, he gave even more proof that he obstructed justice. Trump tweeted:

“As it has turned out, James Comey lied and leaked and totally protected Hillary Clinton. He was the best thing that ever happened to her!”

Trump is been trying to cover the firing of Comey by stating that the Comey was doing a bad job handling the Hillary Clinton investigation and that the FBI was trying to get rid of him – which is what was stated in the letter outlining Comey’s firing. What Trump tweeted this morning is an entirely different story, as MSNBC’s Matthew Miller pointed out:

“Psst. Your cover story was you fired him because he was unfair to Clinton. Might want to stop giving Mueller more evidence that was a lie.”

Trump’s tweets continue to be the biggest threat to his cry of innocence. He continuously exposes himself with his erratic behavior and shows no signs of learning his lesson.  No one will be surprised if Trump gets removed from office for something that he himself accidentally admitted to – and at this point in his disastrous presidency, it would be a dream come true for most Americans.
