So, for the past month Donald Trump has been obsessed with condemning those who disrespect the American flag. His primarily focus has been on professional football players because apparently, them using their huge platform to bring awareness to equality for all has the capacity to drive our president into an incoherent rage.
Well, it appears now that the so-called president doesn’t practice what he preaches.
In an interview with Fox News’ Hannity, “Retreat” played from outside the building. Retreat is part of a centuries-old military tradition in the United States. The bugle call is played at 5 p.m. and it “is traditionally a time to secure the flag and pay respect to what it stands for.” All military personnel outside are required to stand at attention during Retreat and turn to face the flag. Anyone driving a vehicle is expected to stop. Civilians and leadership are strongly encouraged to do the same.

The next time Donald Trump brings up the NFL or Trump supporters want to argue about how an honorable man the president is, just reference back to this moment.
