Northern California is literally burning down to the ground, and president Donald Trump is too focused on ridiculing professional sports players who are protesting racial injustices and a lack of police accountability in the United States.
More than a dozen wildfires are ravaging Northern California for three straight days, already claiming the lives of 15 people and wrecking havoc in the state’s renowned wine country, where it could cost $25,000 to replace a single acre. There are already 20,000 people who have evacuated the region. The fires are concentrated in Napa, Sonoma, and Mendocino counties.
The wildfires in Northern California represent one of the most destructive fire seasons in recent history – the predicted cost of the damage has passed $2 billion, and it’s still on an upward trajectory. The main culprit for these concentrated wildfires is the Diablo Winds, generating pressure that pushes air down the mountains. These winds can reach hurricane levels, causing the fire to spread rapidly.
Animosity In The Face Of Death
It seems like President Trump has a propensity to show animosity when citizens are in dire straits. President Trump recently took the opportunity to flippantly wish the state well, where citizens are losing their lives, livelihoods, and property.
President Trump is too busy with platitudes, placating his base, and tweeting. Here’s how you can help California.
