Hurricane Harvey is hands-down the most catastrophic natural disaster to hit the United States, as it’s already taken ten lives and destroyed thousands of structures and homes.
While speaking to FEMA staff and members of his National Security Council at Camp David, President Donald Trump on Monday compared the devastation caused by Hurricane Harvey to “water damage” at his real estate properties.
“As the extent of the projected devastation became apparent over the weekend during a meeting at Camp David, he shook his head in disbelief and compared the situation to problems he experienced when managing his family’s apartment buildings in New York,” the Times reported.
Trump told his staff: “Water damage is the worst”
“Tough, tough, tough.”
So in effect, Trump is comparing busted water lines in his buildings to 11 trillion gallons of flood water that drains very slowly, that essentially immobilizes infrastructures and right-of-ways. Those are his initial thoughts when thinking of a human disaster? The idiot-in-chief has a lot to learn, and quite frankly, America is sick of having to teach him how to be a decent human being.
