Donald Trump is on a roll, folks!
In the aftermath of the Orlando mass shooting, Trump has tripled down on his anti-immigration rhetoric, giving not one single damn about accuracy. Instead, he and his hate-filled supporters hope to drive home a message about how much safer America will be when all the
brown people Muslims get deported.
“Donald Trump responded Monday to the worst terror attack since 9/11 with a no-holds-barred attack on Muslims and Hillary Clinton that played loose with the facts and was rife with inflammatory rhetoric. He claimed Clinton wanted to disarm Americans and let Islamic terrorists slaughter them, while seeming to overinflate the number of Syrian refugees and insinuating the perpetrator of the Orlando attack was a foreigner.
Trump refused to name Omar Mateen, the killer who went on the rampage in an LGBT nightclub in Orlando, during his speech. But, adding a line not found in his prepared remarks, he said that he was born “an Afghan, of Afghan parents, who immigrated to the United States.” But the perpetrator of the Orlando massacre was born in New York to parents from Afghanistan.
The real estate magnate also appeared to equate all Muslims who seek to come to the United States with the perpetrators of recent terror attacks — another claim that seems to fly in the face of the evidence about a community that has been present in the U.S. for decades.”
First, kudos to CNN for calling Donald Trump a two-faced liar in the classiest way possible. Second, Trump’s hateful agenda repeatedly overlooks one glaring fact: Muslim Americans have proven themselves to be our first and best defense against Islamic extremist terrorists. Let me repeat that in case it failed to process:
Muslim Americans have proven themselves to be our first and best defense against Islamic extremist terrorists!
According to a report by Reuters, American Muslims routinely report individuals suspected to be Islamic extremists. “[Muslims] do not want people committing violence, either in their community or in the name of their faith,” FBI Director James Comey told Reuters. “So some of our most productive relationships are with people who see things and tell us things who happen to be Muslim.”

Comey shared in a press conference after the Orlando shooting that a “good relationship” with American Muslims was at the heart of the success in rooting out terrorist plots and potential terrorist sympathizers. In other words, Donald Trump couldn’t be more wrong about Muslims if he tried — and he’s trying pretty hard.
It’s actually the close ties between U.S. government agencies and Muslims in the United States that’s keeping America as safe from terrorism as possible. Trump and his fanatical right-wing supporters continue trying to make “Muslim” synonymous with “terrorist.” Meanwhile, their collective hypocrisy is being called to everyone’s attention.

These fear mongers want to keep loopholes open that protect a terrorist’s right to buy guns legally in the United States. It’s Donald Trump and the GOP that are ultimately on the side of dangerous mass shooters and anti-American terrorists — not our proud and patriotic Muslim community.
With that in mind, Trump and his ilk would be better served following the example of Muslim Americans rather than work to get them deported.
